This documentary comedy about the world's most northerly (and third lousiest) rugby team follows the friendship between Mikko and Matti. Overworked and domesticated, rugby allows them the space to revel in their masculinity and bond with their teammates. But everyday life is encroaching - Mikko's wife goes back to work and he has to take on the childcare, while Matti's girlfriend is pressing him for more commitment. And despite their bravado they are failing miserably on the pitch. English coach Roger despairs at their sub-par athleticism - if they fail again they will be relegated. Set against the melancholic backdrop of their North Finnish hometown Oulu with surprisingly poetic narration (written by one of the teammates) this is a warm and genuinely funny story of male friendship.
